Family Friendly All The Way
Fire Dragon Hideaway is designed for families travelling together. Whether your children are young or in their teens, nearly all of our rooms are designed to sleep 4 or 5 people in comfort. Three of our rooms have king/double beds and adult sized bunk beds so you don’t hit your head when you sit up!
If you’re landing at Colombo Bandaranaike Airport and you’re looking for a kid-friendly place to stay or travelling with small children, you’ll be looking for a place that’s close and will allow you to settle into Sri Lanka gently. Fire Dragon Hideaway offers a safe, enclosed private space, set in a garden full of birds, lizards, frogs, squirrels and our rescue cats and dogs.
All rooms are on the ground floor and have balconies to sit and enjoy outdoor time with a garden view. Rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, air-conditioning, hot water showers, mini-fridges, satellite TV (with cartoon channels) DVD players, mosquito nets and a tea and coffee making facilities. We can even run your clothes through the washing machine if your kids like to explore in the garden and you’re travelling light!
If you have children under 2 yrs, we can also offer you a baby cot to keep your child safe.
Our family-friendly menu offers a range of dishes, both Sri Lanka and Western, for children and adults who want something other than a spicy food option.
When you book with us directly we also can arrange early check-in and late check-out packages if you’d like your kids to take a rest before a long flight or you’re landing in the early hours of the morning and want to get straight to sleep.
If you’re a large family and you’d like to rent the entire property for your private family-friendly gathering, please do get in touch and we can arrange airport transfers and get your favourite foods in!
